Wrote a song for no-one, a song for all but all for none, And I keep it all but done, just in case there is one. There's a tree by a broken brook, a battle hymn in a poet's book, And i wear this heart of mine, chasing all vital signs. And the band played out to the crowd, Whispered words that rang twice as loud, Held a note that hung like a cloud, Oh don't they do us proud. Let me lay a minute down, without care for this frantic town, And i'll rise renewed again, here to help another friend. And the band played out to the crowd, Whispered words that rang twice as loud, Held a note that hung like a cloud, Oh don't they do us proud. Wrote a song or no-one.

Orchard 03:42
Oh my god i think i did it again, I drank all my money now i'm back on the mend. Hurts me more than i can pretend, One of these nights i think i'll meet my end. What i'd give to see some country skies, Take me by the hand it can do no harm. I've seen an orchard in your loving eyes and an orchard in your arms. Orchard in your arms, orchard in your arms, orchard in your arms. Twenty six and playing pick up sticks, All the while i think i'm shitting bricks. Nothing to do but keep playing licks, A ballad or a burner you can take your pick. What i'd give to see some country skies, Take me by the hand it can do no harm. I've seen an orchard in your loving eyes and an orchard in your arms. Orchard in your arms, orchard in your arms, orchard in your arms. Who carries on when all hope is gone. Who carries a torch to burn to linger on. Who carries on when all hope is gone. Who carries a torch to burn to linger on.

All cynics hear me now, Cupid shot me somehow. I wear no wounds to show, By and by how could i know? Our fantasy will crumble, our time will rumble. Our birds and bees will bumble, i'm getting humble. She gets me high, in the blinking of an eye. She gets me high, i don't even have to know why. Truth is I cannot see, All the things she does to me. Cut me down and set me free, She is wear i wanna be. Our fantasy will crumble, our time will rumble. Our birds and bees will bumble, i'm getting humble. She gets me high, in the blinking of an eye. She gets me high, i don't even have to know why. She gets me high, she gets me high, she gets me high, I don't even have to know why.

Henhouse 03:26
In the henhouse we could make a chick, settle down and raise it. Raise some sticks and praise it, build them up as strong as brick. In the henhouse we could make a chick, settle down and raise it. Raise some sticks and praise it, build them up as strong as brick. All and all, i can be, the kind of man you deserve to see. But i thought i could never break free, the memory of my naivety. Walk of wills, with a chill, when you stepped on blueberry hill. Just the thought of knowing you could be such a thrill, Never mind the courting lets put it in a will. In the henhouse we could make a chick, settle down and raise it. Raise some sticks and praise it, build them up as strong as brick. In the henhouse we could make a chick, settle down and raise it. Raise some sticks and praise it, build them up as strong as brick. Daph-a-ne, look at me, save me from this idolatry. But that i wish you could only see half the granite greek you appear to be. Come walk with me by this tree, we could even start a family. I know we're too broke for a nursery but keep this song as a holding fee. In the henhouse we could make a chick, settle down and raise it. Raise some sticks and praise it, build them up as strong as brick. In the henhouse we could make a chick, settle down and raise it. Raise some sticks and praise it, build them up as strong as brick.

Parachute 03:44
I stepped out to the dead of dawn, where birds will chirp of hidden Babylon. I heard a cry from a passerby, "today's the day our spaceships will fly". I stepped out to the busy streets, people swirling in a haze of feet. I don't know when, but i saw it then - a poster etched out in carnival pen. "Parachute to the moon, parachute to the moon, And gliders sail from Saskatoon, parachute to the moon" All and all it was a gentle race, all and all its only outer space. All and all it was a gentle race, all and all it was in real bad taste. I awoke to the din of night, a cherry red crossed my window side. I said, "whats this now, where can i be?" Gotta get back to the rim of Pleiades. "Parachute to the moon, parachute to the moon, And gliders sail from Saskatoon, parachute to the moon"

If i could make you choose, that would break all of the rules. Then i would play the fool, thinking that i'd won this duel. For the best things in life are found, not strewn about on the ground. Omelettes and a penny down, earned when the work comes round. And when you'd look at me i'd know its no make believe. And then your friends would say its true, as real as can be. But anything at all just works out if its all make believe. But anything at all just works out if its all make believe And if i could plead my case, i could never forget your face. But it'd never be my place - that heart i could never chase. And so i guess i'll make my peace - better off if i was deceased. Honey please don't forget me please - my hearts still missing a piece. And when you'd look at me i'd know its no make believe. And then your friends would say its true, as real as can be. But anything at all just works out if its all make believe. But anything at all just works out if its all make believe

Zelda 04:14
Zelda, Zelda, where are you darling? On the golden shores where you were first stirring. Zelda, Zelda, though you're departing, a love like ours is only just starting. Zelda, Zelda, eyes cool and clear. A vision of an angel i was meant to fear. Zelda, Zelda, you're fabled my dear - a candle held to any other peer. Zelda, Zelda, tonight i have fallen. To the flowing ranks of Cupid's squadron. Zelda, Zelda, please beg my pardon, but wont you let me stay here in your garden. Zelda, Zelda, if i could change a thing. I would've told you then what i can only sing. Zelda, Zelda, you've clipped my wings, and now i long to tell you everything.

Why can't i forget you, now that you've forgotten me. This crippling affliction is all too plain to see. My heart thought cold, my memory hot. My senses sound, my reason not. Wake me up from this recurring dream, Floating down the moon-tide stream. Why can't i forget you, now that you've forgotten me. This crippling affliction is all too plain to see. Release me from your hidden bonds, that drag me down this murky pond, Of past lives and loves forgot - the wins i craved, the loss i bought. Why can't i forget you, now that you've forgotten me. This crippling affliction is all too plain to see. Kill these words we shared in lust, Play up your cool only if you must, But never give me those eyes you wore, The night you winked at how you loved me from before. Why can't i forget you, now that you've forgotten me. This crippling affliction is all too plain to see.

Closing Time 04:42
Tonight, i ponder, have i grown younger? I feel a stirring, taking then leaving. This bar stool will be my podium, These lined chairs will be my auditorium. So come here, you cretins, bar flies, and heathens. Sing me off to sleep, up by the astral deep. Closing time, its closing time. Everything's fine as long as you pay your dime. Closing time, its closing time. Everything's fine as long as you pay your dime. This pint, it reasons with my lost seasons. I'll grab another for me and my lost brother. All the while the shop is closing down. This drunk grin will wear that old familiar frown. But tonight, i ponder, on those flames i've sundered. They all lie with me, in my reverie. Closing time, its closing time. Everything's fine as long as you pay your dime. Closing time, its closing time. Everything's fine as long as you pay your dime.
